The city of Las Vegas says it will be illuminating its new gateway arches to mark their official arrival Wednesday night. Construction on the archway, located on Las Vegas Boulevard near St. Louis Avenue, began in March. It\'s intended to welcome visitors to the city of Las Vegas. The city limits begin at Sahara Avenue, just south of the arches\' location. Las Vegas Boulevard south of Sahara rests in unincorporated Clark County.
