Meddle was better than I remember, and I really do like their prog rock stuff better than their psychedelic journeys. Obscured By Clouds is up next week.

In the Pink Floyd lineup, today was “Atom Heart Mother” and it was much more enjoyable than previous compositions, but not terribly great either. I could hear some of the seeds for what will become the Pink Floyd I know and love, this was still 3 years before their masterpiece, and it shows. Well… “Ummagumma” was… not my cup of tea. I am looking forward to more of the Pink Flloyd evolution, but I would like to point out that it takes a full 7 albums before the band really makes it big.

Totally agree with you, Brandy. I could hear the underpinnings of later and greater Floyd works on Piper. But Saucer was just noise to me.
